Your privacy

Room to read quietly.

Draft privacy notice — human and legal review is pending. The owner must confirm the responsible legal entity, privacy contact, hosting provider, retention periods, and any configured services before public launch. This draft does not establish that those checks have happened.

Who is responsible

MENA Psychology is an educational website. The person or organization responsible for personal information, sometimes called the data controller, has not yet supplied its legal name or privacy contact. Contact availability shows the current status. Do not send private health information or identity documents through an unverified contact route.

Reading and searching

You do not need an account to read. There are no comments, reader profiles, or forms for health stories. Search runs in your browser using a downloaded Pagefind index. Search words are not sent to an outside search provider. Your browser may keep a page or search history according to your own settings.

Hosting and technical information

The host may process your IP address, requested page, request time, and browser information to deliver and protect the website. These details can reveal what you read. The owner must confirm the host, purposes, access controls, retention period, and deletion arrangements, and publish those details before launch.

Cookies and analytics

This build has no analytics script configured. The website's own reading and search features do not set advertising or tracking cookies. The owner must separately confirm the hosting and access service's handling of technical information.

Newsletter subscriptions

Newsletter signup is not active in this build. There is no newsletter form collecting your address. If enabled later, the form will send your email directly to the chosen provider, with provider-side confirmation before subscription.

A newsletter address should be used only for the purposes explained at signup. You can withdraw permission for future emails by using the unsubscribe link in an issue. The owner must confirm the provider's retention and deletion process. Do not put health information in signup fields.

Other websites and media

Reference links and support directories lead to other services with their own privacy practices. An enabled YouTube player connects to youtube-nocookie.com only after you choose to load it. YouTube can then receive technical information about your visit and apply its own terms. Choosing a podcast platform also takes you to an outside service.

Purposes, legal grounds, and retention

The intended purposes are delivering the site, protecting its operation, providing a requested newsletter, and measuring broad use only when analytics are enabled. Where a law requires a legal ground for processing, the owner must document it for each purpose. This may include consent for a newsletter or a properly assessed legitimate interest for necessary operations; this draft does not select a ground on the owner's behalf.

Keep information only as long as needed for the stated purpose or a legal duty. Specific periods for hosting logs, newsletter records, and analytics are not yet confirmed. Service providers, processing locations, and any safeguards for transfers between countries must also be identified before launch.

Rights in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, you may be able to ask for access to your information, correction of errors, deletion, limits on use, or a portable copy. You may also object to some uses, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to your local data protection authority. These rights depend on the circumstances and can have legal exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing.

Rights for California residents

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to the operator and your information, rights can include knowing and accessing information collected, correcting it, deleting it, and opting out of a sale or sharing covered by that law. Limits on certain uses of sensitive personal information may also apply. A covered business must not discriminate against someone for using these rights.

The planned site has no advertising system or mechanism for selling reader information. The owner must verify the actual practices of all configured services, whether the law applies, and any required opt-out or browser preference handling. Do not treat this draft as a completed California privacy disclosure.

Making a privacy request

A working privacy contact and a secure request process are still required. Once available, explain what you are requesting and the service involved. The owner may need proportionate proof of identity and, where applicable, authorization for an agent. Do not send sensitive documents unless a verified, secure process specifically needs them. Requests must be handled within applicable legal time limits, subject to permitted exceptions.

Security and changes

No website can promise perfect security. The owner must review provider access, HTTPS, retention, and incident handling. This notice needs a new review when the site operator, services, data uses, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies this draft, not legal approval.
